According to the World Health Organization, health equity is achieved when everyone has the opportunity to reach their full health potential regardless of demographic, social and geographical differences1.
Employers play a critical role in achieving health equity for people around the world, and the data shows this is a major priority for multinational employers2. The 2024 Large Employer HealthCare Strategy Survey found that 95% of employers planned to implement at least one strategy to address health inequities by 2024.
In this installment of the Business Group on Health Thought Leadership Series, Pamela Rich and Corrie Zenzola sit down to discuss the landscape of health equity, the unique challenges of pursuing health equity outside the U.S., steps employers can follow in implementing a health equity strategy and anticipated trends for the future.
