Thirty-six employers responded to this survey, conducted between May 9 and May 26, 2022. This survey assessed the number of employers that have established a gender self-identification (Self-ID) process for the company’s LGBTQ+ employee community.
- 61% of large employers indicated that they currently have a Self-ID process in place that allows their LGBTQ+ employees to voluntarily disclose their sexual orientation and gender identity in confidential Human Resource records.
- 70% of large employers indicated that they have run a campaign to promote their Self-ID process.
- 38% of employers considered their campaign promotion to be very effective.
