Telehealth

In recent years, there has been a marked expansion in the creation and adoption of telehealth programs, which deliver health care services through telecommunications and web-based technologies. The adoption of telehealth among large employers has been made nearly ubiquitous due to health plans offering telehealth to all its members.

A trend of note is the growing interest in telebehavioral health, or mental/behavior health services made available through phone or video consultations. In fact, 56% of Business Group members offer these services to their employees.
