The EEOC issued proposed regulations that amend current guidance on how the ADA applies to employer-sponsored wellness programs. If finalized, these regulations will apply to wellness programs that include health risk assessments or biometric screenings, in addition to the current rules under HIPAA.

Physical Activity
The purpose of this survey is to learn more about how employers encourage healthy physical activity among their employees. The survey focuses on physical fitness challenges, specifically at components of the challenges, eligibility, use of fitness trackers, types of competitions and how many are run each year. Additionally, the survey looks at policies and environmental factors that support healthy behavior and contribute to the physical health of each employee. Thirty-nine members of the Business Group responded to this survey.
