Improving Community Health Through Collaboration and Data

In Nashville, TN, there is a collaborative movement underway to improve the health of the city that involves the largest employers, health care systems, non-profits and community leaders. Key to this movement called NashvilleHealth, are the use of data, the input of diverse expertise and the alignment of resources. On this episode of the Business Group on Health Podcast, we speak with former Senate Majority Leader and founder of NashvilleHealth, Dr. Bill Frist, about how employers can support population health, the importance of partnerships and community data, the need for solutions to address disparities and the inequities in our healthcare system, and the advances and innovation that leave us hopeful for the future.
