Business Group on Health submitted a statement for the record during the June 10, 2026, U.S. House of Representatives, Energy & Commerce Committee, Health Subcommittee’s hearing: “Lowering Health Care Costs for All Americans: Examining Policies to Increase Health Care Transparency.” We applaud the Subcommittee’s interest in supporting additional transparency for employer-sponsored health plans and their participants and beneficiaries, and we seek to raise awareness of and concern about the duplicative, conflicting, and unintended adverse consequences of certain proposed provisions. We look forward to working with the Subcommittee and across Congress to improve the proposals and support employer health plans and programs.
