Business Group on Health Podcast Receives The Communicator Awards, for 4th Consecutive Year

Episodes on Generational Diversity, LGBTQ+ Health and Research Earn National Recognition

WASHINGTON, DC, May 29 — For the fourth consecutive year, the Business Group on Health Podcast earned The Communicator Awards for recent episodes on generational diversity and on LGBTQ+ health and research, the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA) has announced.

The Business Group received Awards for Excellence for podcasts in the category of diversity, equity and inclusion.

“We are delighted to have won The Communicator Awards for the fourth year in a row,” said Ellen Kelsay, president and CEO of the Business Group on Health, and one of the podcast hosts. “Our podcast illuminates the insights, innovation and leadership influencing the future of employer-sponsored health care. These prestigious honors affirm Business Group on Health’s mission to elevate the dialogue around employers and critical health, well-being and workforce issues.”

The podcast, launched in June 2020, is produced by Business Group on Health Vice President Pamela Rich in partnership with Connected Social Media.

Award of Excellence (Category – Individual Episodes: Diversity, Health and Inclusion)

Underrepresented Voices: LGBTQ+ Health and Research,” Dr. Mitchell Lunn, MD, a Stanford University physician and professor as well as the director of The PRIDE Study, in conversation with LuAnn Heinen, Business Group on Health, air date Aug. 26, 2024.

The annual competition, now in its 31st year and judged by AIVA, recognizes the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and design. Thousands of entries from around the globe were submitted for this year’s awards.

“The entries reflected the power of communication to bridge gaps between people, platforms and perspectives,” said AIVA Managing Director Lauren Angeloni. “We’re proud to celebrate such a dynamic group of honorees.”
