Highlights from the 2025 APAC Regional Meetings
Business Group on Health brought together health and well-being leaders from across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region in September of 2024, to share top priorities and regional trends impacting workforce and benefit strategies.
Key takeaways from the meeting include:
- Compared to other regions of the world, APAC stands out for its rising health care costs. Employees have voiced growing concern about the affordability of care, with many reporting that cost prevents them from accessing services needed. Employers must take proactive measures to manage health care costs while expanding access and strengthening programs that promote prevention, early intervention and long-term employee well-being.
- Demographic shifts, social change and emerging regulations are redefining family-forming and women's health across the region. In APAC, cultural norms, uneven access to fertility care and high out-of-pocket costs make employer-provided support impactful.
- Employers across APAC are challenged with how to demonstrate the success of their well-being programs. During a roundtable discussion, employers shared how they must pull from multiple sources of data and tap into localities to support these sources in order to validate the impact of their programs.
