For global employers, recruiting and retaining female employees is an integral part of a growth strategy in developing markets and a concerted effort to replace the aging workforce in more developed markets. In certain geographies, however, women may opt out of the workforce or take a step back, particularly at mid-career, due to cultural limitations and/or the "double burden" of obligations they face at work and at home. Employers can help with retention of female employees and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being by providing them with solutions, policies and programs that allow them to be successful throughout the lifespan.
