Substance Use Disorder Benefits
The purpose of this survey was to learn what efforts employers are making to address substance use disorder (SUD) among their employees and dependents. This survey explores what specific challenges employers are facing, and strategies and benefit programs offered to help those who need it. Forty-one members of the Business Group responded to this survey, although the number may vary from question to question.

The National Business Group on Health as part of the National Coalition on Benefits sent a letter to all members of Congress applauding efforts to combat the opioid crisis, but strongly opposing extending the amount of time that employer-sponsored plans must cover treatments for end-stage renal disease (ESRD) which would massively shift costs from the government to employers and workers.
