Maria Walsh of Hearst Named to Board Of Business Group on Health

‘Creative Leader With Wealth of Experience in Benefits Arena’

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 16 — Business Group on Health, the esteemed health and well-being association representing large employers, has named Maria Walsh, senior vice president and global head of benefits at Hearst, to its board of directors.

Walsh leads benefits strategies across Hearst, the global media, information and services company with operations in 40 countries. She oversees health and well-being programs and retirement plans to safeguard Hearst employees’ physical, financial, emotional and family well-being. In addition, Walsh is a scout for HearstLab, a community of early-stage, women-led startups working inside Hearst, and participates in several executive client advisory groups.

Earlier in her career, Walsh served as vice president of global benefits and mobility at Nielsen, leading benefits and well-being strategies for the company’s more than 46,000 employees in 100 nations. She also has worked at Citibank, UBS and Prudential Financial.
