Department Overview

The Benefits Manager, Project Specialist will report into the US Retirement, Benefits and Well-being Team as part of the Total Rewards/Human Resources Organization. This fast pace, detail-oriented team is looking for a skilled candidate with a strong understanding of health benefits programs and administration, regulatory compliance and systems.

Job Description

  • Oversee key health and well-being benefit projects, including Work Day implementation, mergers and acquisitions, and ad hoc program enhancements and new partnerships.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders, within the US Benefits Team, as well as other groups in HR. Develop relationships with vendor partners and consultants.
  • Strong project management and organization skills, the ability to manage several large projects at a time
  • Provide artifacts (sample data, reports, policies, and requirements) to assist in the design and documentation of current business processes.
  • Participate in requirements and fit gap sessions representing US Health Benefits programs.
  • Participate in prototype workshops to understand the Workday system, proposed configuration, and vendor interfaces relaying information back to department leadership.
  • Participate actively in testing activities through the project Lifecyle.
  • Solve or lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions
  • Lead or support other health benefits projects and administrative activities

Job Requirements

  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.
  • Bachelor's Degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
  • 7+ Years of related experience
  • In depth knowledge of a specialized Human Resources function
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to deal with all levels of management
  • Strong Customer service orientation and ability to establish strong working relationships with internal and external clients

  • Possesses working knowledge of applicable benefit programs, policies and general processes
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage end-to-end programs and/or projects with strong results
