Climate change touches everything important to us, according to Dr. Renee Salas, and that includes our health and well-being. And perhaps there’s no clearer example of how we’re all bound together by the effects of climate change than the 2021 Dixie Fire that caused unhealthy air quality well beyond California’s state lines. In this episode of the Business Group on Health Podcast, we speak with Dr. Salas, the lead author of the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change U.S. Brief, on the many health ramifications of the earth’s warming and why we must apply a climate change lens to everything we do to improve health and equity.
