WASHINGTON, DC, January 22, 2025 —Business Group on Health, the leading non-profit organization representing large employers’ perspectives on optimizing workforce strategy through innovative health, benefits and well-being solutions and on health policy issues, has named Delta Air Lines S.V.P. and Chief Health & Wellness Officer, Dr. Henry H. Ting, MD, MBA, to its board.
Dr. Ting, a renowned interventional cardiologist, joined Delta in 2021. He oversees the wellness experience for customers, along with health care benefits, wellness programs, injuries and disability, and people data platform and analytics for Delta’s 100,000 employees. To elevate health and wellness for Delta, Dr. Ting and his team rely on customer-driven digital technologies, advanced analytics and innovative partnerships.
He also helped to shape Delta’s strategies and operations during the pandemic, providing an expert voice as the airline worked to protect the health and safety of its employees and customers.

In addition to his role at Delta, Dr. Ting serves as Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Emory University and Professor Emeritus at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Ting’s academic focus includes health services research and implementation science.
Dr. Ting previously served as the Mayo Clinic’s enterprise Chief Value Officer, overseeing quality of care, patient safety, patient experience and affordability.
