‘Known Across Industry for Addressing Quality and Well-being‘
WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 24 — Business Group on Health, the leading non-profit organization representing large employers’ perspectives on optimizing workforce strategy through innovative health, benefits and well-being solutions and on health policy issues, has named Lisa Woods, Walmart Vice President, Physical & Emotional Wellbeing, to its board.
Woods, an experienced benefits and well-being professional, is nationally recognized as an innovator and thought leader in health care.
At Walmart, she ensures that the company’s 1.6 million U.S. associates have access to benefits that are comprehensive, affordable and competitive. She has had a key role in developing a portfolio of programs focused on quality and appropriateness of care for the company. In addition, she has spearheaded inclusive and proactive support for all Walmart associates’ mental health, boosted support for maternal health, led the implementation of Walmart’s Centers of Excellence (COE) program, led Walmart’s initiative to improve provider quality transparency, and expanded virtual care access for associates and their families.
