In 2010, the National Business Group on Health® began recognizing companies that were addressing the health of their global workforces with its Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles award program.
The award has evolved over the last several years, and with this evolution, the name was updated to reflect its focus and criteria in 2018. Now the Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Well-being award, the award continues to incorporate holistic well-being strategies aimed at enhancing the various facets of employees and their families’ lives in the U.S. and globally.
Now entering its ninth year, the Global Distinction award identifies and rewards companies that are doing great things to support the holistic health and well-being of their global workforces and their families. That includes all coordinated and strategic efforts to address the physical health, emotional health, financial security, social connectedness, community involvement and job satisfaction of employees and dependents around the world.
