John Howard, MD, Director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will present the special address at this year’s National Conference, Innovative Solutions for the Reset Economy.

 

This important featured session will provide the latest evidence on the most effective ways to promote the health, safety and productivity of employees during these challenging times and in the future.

 

Dr. Howard oversees the development and administration of national occupational health and safety regulations. NIOSH provides the research and information necessary to ensure employee safety and prevent work-related illness, injury, and disability.

The Institute on Innovation in Workforce Well-being

The Institute is currently working on: evaluating the business case for employer investment in physical activity; applying behavioral economic principles to health and wellness programs; using health champions as a cost-effective engagement strategy; and lessons learned from Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles.  The Institute’s mission is to actively involve large employers in thought leadership, problem solving and the identification and development of best approaches to motivate employee/family engagement in improving health and well-being, with measurable results.
