Workgroup Initiatives

The work of the Institute is organized into three spheres:
  1. Information, Resources and Tools;
  2. Benchmarking and Standards;
  3. Game Changing-Market Reform

Sphere I: Information, Resources and Tools

The compilation of research findings and other information to guide the development of tools and resources about topics of interest to members including demographics, population health, benefits analysis and comparisons, and health and benefits trends. The priorities are to:
  1. Develop tools and guidance for global and/country specific wellness programs.

  2. Identify information sources on culturally validated education and program materials.

Sphere II: Benchmarking and Standards

The collection and creation of information and standards to evaluate organizational processes, best practices and/or market position. The priority is to:
  1. Develop country specific reference guides.

Sphere III: Game Changing-Market Reform

The development of innovative solutions to global health care challenges encountered by member corporations and their employees outside the United States. The priorities are to:
  1. Develop solutions to address the lack of health interventions and programs to enhance employee health and well-being (e.g. disease management, injury prevention, tobacco cessation, women's health, disability).

  2. Create solutions to improve service standards and medical insurance coverage including for excluded conditions (e.g. HIV/AIDS, critical illnesses, mental health).
