To identify and discuss new ways to access and finance post-retirement medical expenses, we are hosting "An Invitational Meeting on New Models for Retiree Health Care".
The meeting will include large employers describing their New Models, including FedEx, GM, SCANA and a financial services firm. HRPA's Jeff McGuiness will discuss their new retiree health plans, available by the summer. Duane Olson, Deere & Co., will be discussing their model working with a number of large employers. Health plan leaders (United HealthCare, Aetna, CIGNA, Blues Cross and Blue Shield Association, Kaiser-Permanente, Humana and WellPoint) will describe their newest retiree medical products and what they are planning for the future. Finally, we will have a group of employers, facilitated by Diane Bechel, Ford, to respond to what they have heard and make recommendations concerning design gaps that may need filling, and public policy that needs changing to improve the value and effectiveness of new models for retiree health care.
