Ask a Benefits Question serves Business Group members by providing answers to their pressing benefits questions. The service is designed to allow any HR/Benefits Professional from Business Group member companies to ask Business Group staff for answers to challenging benefit questions. By compiling research, fielding quick surveys, or setting up benchmarking calls, the Business Group will help you find an answer to your question.

Does the Business Group have information available regarding average health care cost increases for 2017? (show answer)

A: Yes, large employers are predicting health care increases of about 6% in 2017, but expect to be able to maintain cost increases at 5% for the fourth year in a row through plan design changes.

Is there any survey data to understand if large employers are covering infertility services?

A: Nearly all large employers (96%) cover some kinds of infertility services, but about seven-out-of-ten will cover IVF and/or artificial insemination in 2017.
