Pharmaceutical Council

The Pharmaceutical Council was established in 2001 to provide tools, information and technology to Business Group members about pharmaceuticals and pharmacy benefits. Members of the Pharmaceutical Council include:
- Employer Benefit Managers
- Pharmaceutical Benefit Managers (PBMs)
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturers
- Consultants
- Pharmacies
- Managed Care Organizations
- Consultants
The Pharmaceutical Council is representative of those involved in development and delivery of pharmacy benefits, including Fortune 500 businesses, major pharmaceutical manufacturers, the largest PBMs, and renowned consulting firms. The diverse membership of the Council, representing the various perspectives in the pharmaceutical system, is important in understanding the roles each play in delivering pharmacy benefits.
